Scholarship Anti-Bullying FundScholarship Anti-Bullying Fund: Stop the Bullies!

Why do we have a National Anti-Bully Scholarship Fund?

It is estimated that 160,000 children miss school every day due to fear of attack or intimidation by other students, according to the . National Education Association. Government resources indicate that American schools harbor approximately 2.1 million bullies and 2.7 million of their victims. Sadly, these statistics continue to climb each day. In fact, recent statistics point to the following.

The facts and statistics regarding bullying are overwhelming. Youth and children around the world are being besieged by constant taunts, threats, harassment, and outrageous acts that dispupt teachers, the school itself, and the education of the affected youth. Bullying comes in many forms, direct and indirect. There is no time of the day when bullying is off-limits except sleep.

Scholarship Anti-Bullying FundStatistics about Bullying, and the Importance of Scholarship Anti-Bullying Fund

Although the facts and statistics regarding bullying are overwhelming, many parents and institutions do very little to combat the scourge of bullying. When a middle-school does gather the courage to report an act of bullying, his/her teacher may even attempt to discourage the reporting of the incident because of local school politics, favoritism, or just plain ineptness. The purpose of the National Anti-Bullying Scholarship Fund campaign is to bring attention to the scope of the problem, as well as invest in preventive resources and public outreach efforts. Funds raised help to provide scholarships, grants, and financial-aid to identified bully victims, as well as for the resources mentioned above. In particular, when online bullying happens, we use our online resources and social media skills to send a message to the bully: Stop! Stop! This person is a member of the National Anti-Bullying Scholarship Fund.
